Porchester Railway Station gets Antislip Corduroy Staircase

Works were to re cover the existing timber stair case and over bridge with new anti slip material complete with Corduroy tactile.

The works were carried at night and the client passed the works off without any snagging.

Epsom Station becomes DDA Compliant with new Handrails

J A Stevenson were contracted to replace old handrails with new Warm-to-Touch DDA Compliant handrails at Epsom station.

All work was completed on time with minimal disruption to passengers.

 

Non Slip Rail Bridge and Stairs

J A Stevenson were awarded the contract to ensure Alnmouth Railway Station’s footbridge was compliant with all of the DDA legislation, including installation and manufacture of non-slip flooring panels and high-visibility stair nosings.

The non-slip flooring panels and high-visibility stair nosings were all bespoke manufactured to meet with the rail specifications.

Works were completed ahead of schedule.

DDA Compliant Handrails for London Borough Underground Subways

J A Stevenson won the contract to Design manufacture and install DDA Compliant handrail to London Borough underground subways.

The work has been carried out through County Building Services.

The contract was completed on time with no interruption to the public.

 

Langley Railway Station Suredeck Platform Extension

This is a job at Langley Railway Station where we formed a new platform extension in conjunction with TATA steel.

We supplied our Suredeck 21mm thick marine plywood anti slip panels with the blister type platform tactile incorporated into the sheet all complete with a bullnose front edge white and yellow sight lines.

All work was completed to specification and on time, with minimal disruption to passengers.

Littleborough Railway Station becomes DDA Compliant

J A Stevenson were awarded the contract to help with DDA Compliance at Littleborough Railway Station.

We have completed new DDA compliance works at Littleborough Railway Station, including 400 linear metres of Warm-to-Touch Handrails.

J A Stevenson Ltd were tasked with designing and manufacture and installation of 400 linear mtrs of Balustrade with warm to touch handrail for Bam Nuttal. The job was completed on time and to a high standard.

J A Stevenson donate Non-Slip to Historic Site

J A Stevenson have donated £25,000 worth of Non-Slip flooring to one of Europe’s most famous historic battle sites.

J A Stevenson have donated £25,000 worth of Non-Slip flooring to build a safe walkway around the Lochnagar Crater in France.

Adrian Stevenson said “This site is a major part of British history and attracts thousands of visitors a year. We are pleased to be able to help with this project and will be donating the materials which would normally cost £25,000 free of charge. Once the work is completed we will know those visitors will be safe.”

Wembley Stadium’s Dual-Height Handrails

J A Stevenson were awarded the contract to aid with DDA Compliance on the new Wembley Stadium, and ensure all handrails were warm-to-touch.

We completed the job to a high standard and the dual-height handrails have helped to ensure that the stadium complies with all points of the Disability Discrimination Act.

The job was completed on time and to a high standard.

Anti Slip Railway Bridge with DDA Compliant Handrails

J A Stevenson were awarded the contract to make help make Pewsey Railway Station footbridge DDA Compliant, including manufacture and installation of dual height, warm to touch handrails and anti-slip flooring for pedestrian use.

New warm to touch handrail were designed fabricated shot blasted and coated all in house and fitted by our own on site team in a number of days, ensuring that minimal disruption to the use of the bridge.

The anti slip surfaces and tactile flooring were all bespoke manufactured to meet with the rail specifications.

Works were completed within one week.

DDA Compliant Stairs and Warm-to-Touch Handrails

J A Stevenson Ltd were contracted to make Warminster Railway Station Footbridge DDA Compliant. Anti-Slip Stair Treads with full height riser were bespoke manufactured together with landing areas with tactile and nosings incorporated into the sheet.
The overhead bridge had a complete new overdeck floor made up of 6mm thick light-commercial use suregrp anti slip sheets which were also bespoke manufactured. Tactiles were manufactured and fitted to the top and bottom of each stairs.
Old handrails were removed and a new DDA compliant warm to touch double handrail system was designed, manufactured and installed.
The project was scheduled to last two weeks but was completed within the first, with minimal disruption to the station
